Recognition of the Criminal Justice Department Programs

(2016) The Center for Online Education added CSUSB to its 25 Best Online Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Degree Programs, listing it at Number 2 after Anderson University in South Carolina. For the 2016 rankings, the Center for Online Education employed a basic formula: Academic Quality + Online Offerings + Cost and Student Aid = Final Score, according to its website.

(2016) the Best Degree Program placed CSUSB’s program at Number 7 on its list of the top 30 programs in the nation. 120 top institutions that offered at least one online bachelor’s degree program in criminal justice, criminology, or related discipline were examined. From our list, we reviewed institution rankings from major publications like Forbes magazine, The Princeton Review, and U.S. News and World Report. We selected the most affordable schools based on NCES College Navigator’s published undergraduate tuition rate. The school with the most affordable tuition is ranked #1 on our list.

(2016) College Choice ranked the CSUSB’s online criminal justice graduate program ranked No. 12 in U.S. A national ranking service has listed Cal State San Bernardino’s online criminal justice master’s degree program No. 12 in the United States, and the only California State University campus to make its “Best Online Masters in Criminal Justice Degree Programs, 2016.”

(2016) Best Colleges ranked the CSUSB online Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice number nine the in nation. After reviewing academic outcomes, affordability, and quality of online programming at schools across the country.

(2015) Best Value Schools ranked the CSUSB criminal justice department’s program number three in its list of 50 Best Value Colleges for a Criminal Justice Degree in 2015. Only John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith were ranked higher than CSUSB’s criminal justice program.

(2015) SuperScholar ranked the CSUSB criminal justice department’s online master’s program 17th in the nation. The ranking is based on program’s flexibility accessibility, affordability, return on investment and awrds and recognition.

(2014) U.S. News and World Reports ranked the CSUSB online master’s program 20th in the nation. The ranking was based on faculty credentials, student services, student engagement, and admissions selectivity.

(2014) Best ranked the CSUSB online bachelor’s program 12th in the nation. The ranking was based on a number of criteria including acceptance rate, retention rate, and graduation rate.

(2009) Southwest Journal of Criminal Justice ranked the criminal justice department’s faculty third in the nation for the authorship of criminal justice related text books. The article can be found at Volume 6, number 1.
