Dr. Gau received her Ph.D. from Washington State University and joined the CSUSB Department of Criminal Justice faculty in 2008. Her primary field of research is policing, with particular emphases on police-community relationships, procedural justice, order maintenance, and racial issues. She also studies quantitative methods. She teaches undergraduate statistics, criminal procedure, and courts.
