Criminal Justice Background: 1970 - 2004 San Bernardino County Probation Department. Retired as Deputy Chief Probation Officer. Administrative responsibilities for all adult probation services and for all personnel services.
Criminal Justice Program Development
1977. Implemented an intensive supervision program for juvenile and adult probationers in the west valley of San Bernardino County.
1980. Developed ahome supervision program as an alternative to juvenile hall detention for minors awaiting court proceedings.
1985. Developed a community mediation center as an alternative to criminal prosecution and civil litigation of minor offenses.
1992. Developed the Youth Accountability Board concept in San Bernardino County as an alternative diversion program for juvenile first offender. This program is a California State Association of Counties Challenge Award winner.
1994. Supervised the development of Project Focus, a community based multi-agency, cooperative intervention for high-risk youth.
1996-97. Developed various demonstration programs for grant funding including a multidisciplinary program for early intervention with high risk youth. This program was funded by the California Board of Corrections and was implemented in 1997.
